Proteoglycans are natural macromolecules that can restore the epidermal cells and intensify the metabolism of connective tissue components, re-establishing skin function, its mechanical properties and its physiological appearance.
The active ingredient is of marine origin and is sustainable.
The activities fulfilled by proteoglycans in the connective tissue include the following: they increase cell proliferation and metabolism, have an anti-inflammatory action, accelerate healing processes, increase cell connection with extracellular components of the environment, increase intercell communication, have a structural function in the connective tissue, regulate water content in the connective tissue and its water retention capacity.
Given the capacity of these polysugars to retain water, they absorb a volume of this, contributing to skin turgor as well as to its hydration.
