Needles for Mesotherapy
Needles of different sizes and designs can be used for mesotherapy, depending on the area of the body and the goals of the procedure. Typically, specialists use needles ranging from 4 mm to 13 mm in length and 30G to 32G in thickness. Needles can be straight or curved, disposable or multi-use.
The most commonly used needles for mesotherapy are micro-needles, which have a thin diameter and short length, usually ranging from 4 mm to 6 mm. These are used to introduce mesopreparations onto the surface of the facial skin to improve its texture and eliminate fine wrinkles.
Longer needles (9 mm or 13 mm), may also be used to administer substances into the deep layers of the skin, for example, for the treatment of cellulite or the reduction of stretch marks.
Mesotherapy needles must be sterile to prevent infections and other complications. After each use, the needles should be either disposed of or thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a method of treating and correcting various skin and body issues by directly injecting small doses of biologically active substances (mesopreparations) into the problem area through micro-injections, using special needles.
Mesotherapy can be used to treat a wide range of problems, including wrinkles, pigmentation, stretch marks, cellulite, acne, reduced skin elasticity, hair loss, and other cosmetic issues. It can also be used to treat diseases such as osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis, and myositis.
Mesopreparations can contain various components such as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, and other biologically active substances. Administering mesopreparations through micro-injections allows them to be delivered directly to the problem area, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract and other systems of the body, increasing the effectiveness of treatment and reducing the risk of side effects.
Mesotherapy can be carried out as a single procedure or in combination with other methods of skin and body treatment and correction, such as phototherapy, laser therapy, peeling, etc.
Features of Mesotherapy Needles
Mesotherapy needles have several features that allow the procedure to be effective and painless. Here are some of them:
Micro sizes: Mesotherapy needles have a diameter ranging from 0.13 to 0.6 mm and a length from 4 to 13 mm, allowing for injections at a shallow depth without damaging tissues and nerve endings.
Sharp tips: Mesotherapy needles have sharp tips, making it easy to pierce the skin and reducing the risk of tissue damage.
Rounded shapes: Mesotherapy needles have a rounded shape, reducing the risk of damage to capillaries and other tissues.
Various angles and shapes: Mesotherapy needles can have different angles and shapes, allowing injections to be performed in various directions and depths.
Sterility: Mesotherapy needles must be absolutely sterile, reducing the risk of infection and other complications.
Single-use: Mesotherapy needles should only be used once, reducing the risk of transferring infections and other complications from one patient to another.
The choice of mesotherapy needles depends on the type of the problem, as well as the individual characteristics of the patient.
