Glycolic acid is one of the most important active ingredients in ODA cosmetics. This AHA acid has the lowest molecular weight – it is made up of just two carbon atoms. For this reason, glycolic acid is the most penetrative organic acid and reaches even the deepest layers of the dermis, while other AHA acids, which have larger molecules, are mainly active on the level of the epidermis. Another factor is single-acid peels. This procedure identifies the problem, does not cause allergies, and stimulates cell regeneration, which guarantees effective results.
